Why this site exists
Most meeting advice is written for the person running the meeting. This is written for everyone else in the room — the people who were invited, could not reasonably decline, and have an hour to get through.
Some of it is genuinely useful: the arithmetic on what an hour of eight people actually costs, a glossary of jargon that explains which phrases are shorthand and which are hedging, and a straight guide to declining an invitation without inventing a conflict. Some of it is just buzzword bingo. Both are legitimate responses to a calendar you did not choose.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing needs an account, and nothing you type into a calculator or a bingo card leaves your device — there is no server here to send it to.
A note on tone, since the two halves sit oddly together: the cost page and the glossary are written straight, because they are the pages people bring into an actual conversation about an actual calendar. The rest is not. A site about meetings that took itself entirely seriously would be missing the point, and one that took nothing seriously would be useless.
